I'm excited to announce a surprise lecture class. This is the first time I’m ever doing this online. I don’t know when I’ll do it again, so take advantage now! This is a short 4 (lecture) class session held on Sept 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th. In November, we will return to our usual “Advanced Bellydance” class for this Monday night time slot. Info for that will be announced at the end of September.
This special 4-part lecture series contains no dancing. Rather than learning choreography, we’ll focus entirely on the business side of bellydance and the knowledge that can help you build a successful, long-lasting performance career. Whether you’re preparing to book your very first gig or you’re already performing and want to strengthen your career, this class is designed to teach the skills that are rarely covered in traditional dance classes.
One of the biggest surprises in the professional dance world is that being a great dancer is only part of the equation. The business side of our art is just as important, yet very few instructors teach it. As a result, many dancers unknowingly make decisions that can affect their careers for years to come.
My goal is to help you avoid those pitfalls, build a strong professional foundation, and give you the tools to create a career that is both successful and sustainable.
During this series, we’ll cover:

• How to approach restaurants and establish long-term performance opportunities
• How to negotiate with restaurant owners and managers

Choreo Construction for the Busy Dancer (ZOOM LECTURE):
Creating a polished, stage-worthy choreography is time-consuming and challenging. Trying to do it while balancing work, family, travel, injuries, and everyday life can make it feel nearly impossible.
In this four-part lecture series, Angel shares the exact system she has developed over three decades of creating professional choreography while maintaining an incredibly busy performance and teaching schedule, all while raising two children. This is not a dance class. Instead, you’ll learn practical strategies that help transform overwhelming ideas into a finished performance piece without wasting valuable time.
Together we’ll explore how to organize the entire choreography process from start to finish, including music selection, editing, scheduling, choreography planning, muscle memory, costume preparation, rehearsal techniques, injury prevention, and meeting performance deadlines without unnecessary stress. We’ll also discuss useful apps, time-saving tools, and realistic practice schedules designed specifically for dancers with demanding lives.
Perhaps most importantly, we’ll tackle the mental side of choreography. You’ll learn how to overcome creative blocks, stop overthinking, work through difficult sections efficiently, trust your instincts, and recognize when your choreography is actually stronger than you think it is.
Whether you’re preparing your first solo or your 50th, you’ll leave this workshop with a practical blueprint that can save you countless hours while helping you create choreography with greater confidence, efficiency, and less stress.

PREREQUISTES:
(1) This class requires all students to have at least intermediate level bellydance training Bellydance with either Angel or any other professional bellydance instructor. The material will be taught at an intermediate level. Although this is a fun fusion class, it is still a great opportunity for bellydancers and dancers of all styles to join for learning new styles/techniques, or ways of thinking outside the box…or just for fun!
(2)LIVE ONLY…NO CLASS RECORDINGS PROVIDED.
(3) If desired, feel free to make this a group piece, duet or trio (AS LONG AS all participants are registered in this session. Sharing this choreography with people not registered in this class is strictly prohibited). Angel requires to be credited for choreography in written physical programs, paper handouts, social media captions, verbally, etc. when opportunity provided.
(4) All those attending are required to purchase the music (only one song). After music purchase, please provide proof of song purchase by sending a screenshot of purchase to info@angelbellydance.com or text or Whatsapp +1 (352) 988-4770. Once screenshot is received, I’ll then finalize registration.

Trouble getting music?…It can be very time consuming to assist 18 dancers individually on how to complete this process, therefore for your convenience, I have placed FAQ'S below.

"Is this process required?…"Yes, it is required. Only those who provide screenshot of music purchase and complete registration form/payment will be registered into our roster. Ethical dancers and instructors should always support the artists by purchasing the music they benefit from.
“I don’t have iTunes. What do I do?”….This music can also be purchased on Amazon. Search name, artist AND ALBUM (there are many different versions of this song (provided above).
"I'm already an Apple Music (or Amazon Music) subscriber. Do I still need to purchase?"....Yes, you still need to Purchase! Streaming does not count as a purchase (even if you have a monthly subscription). You can download ”iTunes Store” and purchase from there. Being a subscriber to Apple music (streaming) does not prevent you from purchasing music from iTunes.
"I'm having technical issues making the purchase. How should I handle this?"....No problem! Have a friend make the purchase for you and send me the proof of purchase screen shot.

After that one day, each member must rehearse/memorize on their own time and are expected to have it memorized in all future rehearsals. Rehearsals thereafter will be dedicated to cleaning and polishing.
Although Angel encourages members to perform in all shows, troupe members are NOT obligated to perform in any show at all. If a member finds themself unable to commit to an upcoming performance, let Angel know ASAP (BEFORE formations are set). Angel and other members spend many hours working on formations so we must all be courteous of this matter.
All dancers will be given a deadline 4-5 weeks before all performances. By that deadline, Angel will either ask you to perform the upcoming performance choeo in front of class in a rehearsal OR Angel may request a video submission of yourself doing the dance 3x’s in a row with no mistakes. Angel’s request may vary from performance to performance. This “audition process” will apply for ALL dancers (even for those who have already performed the choreography 10x’s before). If any dancers are not STAGE READY by deadline, Angel will ask the unprepared dancer to wait till the next performance. All Roman’s Soul performances must be stage-ready at least 3-4 rehearsals ahead of time.
To be eligible to perform with Roman’s Soul, troupe members must attend at least 70% of technique classes AND 70% of rehearsals of its current session. If a troupe member has missed too many rehearsals/classes and wishes to complete the 70% attendance policy, he/she may do so by making it up in a private session with Angel. Rate of private sessions for rehearsals are $75 per class (additional studio rent fee may apply if applicable), however this rate/private slot can be split with another student to economize. If Angel is unavailable to conduct a private lesson, members may hold a private lesson under instruction of Angel’s current choro-captain. Angel must approve this lesson. Rates/location of the rehearsal with choreo-captain may vary.
There is limited space in Roman’s Soul Troupe. Therefore, troupe member spots are not guaranteed after extended leaves of absences.

Please keep in mind that Angel spends countless uncompensated hours towards our troupe with other duties such as video/written critiques, creating/sending video tutorials, organizing upcoming shows, creating choreo and formations, etc.
Angel reserves the right to remove anyone at anytime from troupe, class or performance with no refund.

This is the single class/drop-in option for intermediate (or above) levels. Purchasing the FULL SESSION is more economical per individual class.
Each of Angel’s classes accept only 15 students. Space priority goes to students who register for the full session which can be found on this page.

Fun Class Culture:
ALWAYS have fun! :-) My class is a fun and friendly space full of joy, love and friendship in a “down to earth” relaxed environment.
Although most students communicate with questions through the comments during live classes, students are ALL welcome to call/text me on my cell during class for questions.
For the Beginner Level Class (no experience necessary), if you are in between beginner and intermediate level, this is a great class for drilling, asking questions, polishing technique, etc. before moving on.
My teaching style is to always encourage you to understand your own body and listen to your own body. Back off and rest when your body needs.
Each student understands that they are responsible for their own health and safety. I (Angel Bellydance) am not liable for any injuries that may occur.
Payment policies:
No refunds will be issued. HOWEVER missed class(es) may be made up in any of my online classes of same level or beginner, within 90 days of purchase (regardless of the amount of classes offered during said 90 days).
No refunds or credits will be issued for tardiness.
One payment is for 1 student only. Example: If you and your friend wish to take the class together in your home, TWO payments should be issued for that particular class.
Class Set up:
You will have the easiest time learning if you are able to clear some space near your learning screen. This is also best for your safety.
If you want technique pointers keep your video camera on. If you choose to you can have the video off.
To see and follow me best, have your Zoom set to “speaker view.”
Class policies:
No recording, posting, sharing or performing class content unless authorized by me (Angel Bellydance). However, I usually allow students a moment to record THEMSELVES for practice/drilling purposes only.
In the event that I, G. Angel Roman (aka Angel Bellydance), grant permission of performing, posting, sharing, producing and/or teaching class combos, drills, choreography, etc. taught/created by me, Angel Bellydance, credits, tags, etc., must be displayed in text (if possible) and acknowledged verbally (if possible) to Angel Bellydance whether on social media, live stream, television, and or any live events/performances.
In the event that I, G. Angel Roman (aka Angel Bellydance) grant permission of posting, performing, teaching, sharing and/or producing any combos, drills, choreography, etc. taught by Angel Bellydance, compensation to Angel Bellydance may apply. Rates will vary and must be discussed with Angel Bellydance via email or text.
Parental consent is required for anyone under the age of 18 to participate in or purchase class.
Inappropriate comments, inappropriate behavior, or failure to comply with policies are grounds for immediate dismissal with no refunds.

ABSOLUTE Beginner is only offered about once every other year, so this is your last chance for a while.
I'm excited to announce this September’s " Absolute Beginner Bellydance" class session. This is a short 4 class session held on Sept 10th, 17th, 22nd & 24th (No Class Sept 3rd).
My curriculum provides 4 distinct Beginner sessions before moving to Intermediate Level classes. Each session is 4 weeks (each session containing approximately 1 class per week). This session is the FIRST Beginner session (Level 1-A). Therefore, we at the ABSOLUTE Beginner level. At the end of September, I’ll announce the exact date for the start of Level 1-B. Keep in mind, Sessions are offered every other month.
Although this is a Beginner level, this is also an appropriate session for students or dancers of any level to join in for practice, polishing technique and/or just for fun!
*Space is extremely limited. I am setting the maximum number of spots to 18 students. Registration is on a "first come, first serve" basis. Your spot will only be held once payment and the form below are received.
NOTE: There are no drop-in or single class options for this session.
